Each issue we get closer and closer to finding out what the endgame is and what the research has to do with it, but here we just get a teaser of a reminder about that research to keep it in our minds as we go forward. That research and the mystery surrounding it is the focal point of this series. Writer Amy Chu once again reminds us that Poison Ivy's research had been stolen at the time of the first death in the series. When we first see Ivy, she is marveling over her two baby hatchlings, Rose and Hazel. We find out that Grimley is dead on the first page of this issue and the police are back at the Botanical Gardens where Ivy works investigating his death.
